To the Emerald Isle we go...

At the request of many friends and family, I have decided to record our journey to Ireland here on these pages. Our agenda has been set for a while and we were anxious to stop talking about it and start doing it. We arrived safely in Ireland on the morning of the 2nd July 2011. After securing our rental car, a Mercedes E200 (Thanks Hertz), we made our way to Dromoland Castle where it all begins....

Who would have guessed that there would be an incredible spa experience waiting for Kristen in the dungeon of this place? Upon her ascent from the dungeon, she emphatically claims the Spa at Dromoland Castle to be the best she has ever experienced. This was a strong statement considering she is on speed dial with the Old Course Hotel and Spa in St. Andrews, her previous #1. After having to chase her out of the castle, Kristen and I were on our way to Kilkee and the Bayview B & B.
